What will you do?
Your main purpose will be to interpret, influence and communicate legal emissions related requirements both for EU and international regulations (except US and China) to the Certification and Compliance team, to the Powertrain Engineering Organization and to the whole Group Trucks.

You will be the main contact and Volvo Group representative in several external organizations linked to emissions standards such as ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers' Association), OICA (Industry working on UNECE regulations), e.g., GEPE, UNECE (Regulation Development/Geneva), e.g., GRPE and European Commission (JRC and AGVES).

To represent Volvo towards international/regional/national authorities and trade associations to forward Volvo position will be in your scope. As well as provide predictions of future regulated requirements including level of confidence in the predictions, to be considered internally within Volvo.

The internal communication when it comes to EU emissions regulation development will also be a part of your responsibility.

This will also be included in your responsibilities
• Acting as the owner of exhaust emissions regulatory development for EU and international (except US and China)
• Continuously monitor the regulatory landscape
• Build and maintain expertise on internal ongoing Volvo's projects in order to secure that future regulation development do not compromise Volvo's development
• Cooperate with other internal Volvo organizations e.g., public affairs, other vehicle regulation organizations
• Actively participate in the development of new regulation in all its details
• Gather and transfer relevant needed information from the different forums
• Internal communication related to emissions regulations, deciding what and when to do it
• Communicate relevant Volvo's positions in the different forums where Volvo is represented
• Work closely to Powertrain Engineering to be informed and help set the direction the development of our powertrains
• Actively participate in the global regulatory development
• Represent C&C whenever necessary internally and externally
• Strong connection and communication with SPP, to secure product plans in accordance with expected exhaust emissions regulation development and to secure synchronization with other regulation specialists

You need to have:
• Master of Science or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Excellent Negotiation skills
• Good capacity to analyze/summarize regulations to focus on key issues
• Ability to take actions / reasonable risks to achieve results, and to persevere when challenged, leadership, and follow-through to drive activities to completion (courage and integrity
• Knowledge in Volvo's business (market /industry) and be business and customer oriented
• Open multi-brand and multi-cultural mindset, to be a network builder, a good team-worker
